I'm on the west coast too, always have been in either So. Cal or No. Cal and I still haven't had that kind of result. I'm going to try the sweet potato...maybe I will be luckier...that is if it ever stops raining here (San Francisco). We are on day 28 or something of straight rain here. I am so ready to see something grow rather than flood. I'll start with that sweet potato...sounds like fun!

WOW those are fantastic!! HUGE!! I almost never tried to grow indoor plants, they take too much attention. My orchids take almost none, maybe it's the location...
How do you water those babies?? Do you take them outside to water?

Tere, you can say that you don't have a green thumb, but you do!!!! I love boston ferns, but I can not seem to grow them. The fronds always turn brown and then die. LOL

Tere--You definitely DO have a green thumb. You have a natural talent to create such beautiful plants. My husband is also like you. I think you're two lovely, wonderful people. My hubby feels, like you, that gardening is therapeutic. And, I love how you feel about the sweet animals in your backyard. You're so respectful of them, and one can feel the love you both have for plants and animals.

I don't mean to sound mushy and all that, but you're just such a caring person. You should always be surrounded by beautiful animals and plants.

Have a great Sunday!

Warm regards,
Sherrill
