Thanks everybody for your input. I did call AARP for Jacksonville and was told that their senior program was for non-profit organizations and that I would have to call our worksource or employment program to hire someone, so I may look into that am not sure right now. Jacksonville was hit with the storm Fay, they called her a lazy storm, but she was powerful, she came and hung out for a while, Twooo full days. We had Four people here to die, Two of them (females) I understand drown (Jax was warned not to go into the water, beaches etc), tree's fell into homes and cars a total lost for some. I just got my electric back this morning (Sunday) been out since Thursday evening, I gained a couple pounds during that time(now tell me where that came from) LOL. Jacksonville is trying to put things back to normal, so I'll look into to something a little later. I started throwing out food "I just hate that". Will look around to see if there is anymore problems that need to be handle and I MUST GO BACK TO WORK MONDAY!!!, I work for the food stamp office here, so am sure not much of my personal business will get done for the next week. Thanks again for all your input! |

Sylvia, I hope everything will soon be back to normal. I was born here in South Florida so I know first hand of the hurricane's effects and it's not a pretty site to see the aftermath up close and personal. Take care and be safe. Jarrieta |
