Hi What do you do with your over stock items, items that you have not sold and will not sell. I want to get rid of a lot of stock, thought about giving it to the thrift store and claiming it on my year end taxes, rather than trying to sell it on craiglist or ebay and waiting, not sure what to do, I want to get some of my house back, if I had a shop I wouldn't worry as much, but my sells are not there that I can sink any money into a shop. I have stop buying products and items and I tell you that is a good thing for me" Any Advice!!! |

You could list your items in this board in the "Inventory Reduction Sales" section. |

Are these food items? I understand (at least in our Philly region) the suburbs have families/kids going hungry without the free school lunches. (The city tends to have continued programs in the summer.) There may be food pantries or church-related food giveaways. If your thrift shop is for a good insitutional fundraiser, that also would be good. As far as I know, you can donate items and deduct your cost. But check with your accountant to be sure; it may be different if it's business supplies. |
