Hi everyone. My name is Michelle, and during the Christmas season, I got started doing some gift baskets. This lead me to a corporate account and now I am just trying to figure ways to get more accounts. I put up a website that of course is getting no traffic, so I would like to learn more about that as well. Much success to all of you !!! |

Hello everyone. This is my first day on the message board. My name is Tonie & I live in Edgewood, MD. I recently retired & look forward to my new venture in the gift basket industry. I don't have much money & would like some points on how I can advertise my business. I am also new to this area. Can anyone give me suggestions? I heard that sending out large post cards are a good way to start. Is this true? Thanks. |

Welcome to the forum Michelle and Tonie: make yourselves comfortable and feel free to ask questions. Of course, you can also search the archives for just about any subject. Michelle, if you want to learn how to bring traffic to your site, here is a PowerPoint presentation that will teach you how: http://www.gbexchange.net/jubilee2006/search-traffic.html Tonie, while large postcards may be good later on, I think your best results will come form networking with people who are your target market. Hi, my name is Annie and I recently opened Annie's Gift Baskets. I sell primarily online. My website is anniesgiftbaskets.org. My website was designed by Adriana Copaceanu. I actually have been making gift baskets for several year and then decided last year to go into business. Most of my customers are family and friends so I am looking for ways to attract more customers. I have sent out postcards to everyone I know and the various business' in my area. I am looking for suggestions or ideas to attract more customers. Any ideas???? |

Hi Annie, Welcome to the forum: let us know how we can help. As for suggestions to attract more customers, you could ask everyone in your family you did a basket for, if they know someone that can use your services. You never know who they know and what influence they have on their circle of friends and coworkers. Adriana Copaceanu - Board Administrator Gift Basket Exchange

Welcome to GBE Olivia: make yourself at home here, and don't hesitate to ask questions. Of course, there is a lot of information in the archives. Adriana Copaceanu - Board Administrator Gift Basket Exchange
