I have a Kodak DC3200 camera and software. It has always worked great, but all of a sudden, it says "could not successfully connect to camera, please try again." I have tried shutting down and starting again, reconnecting everything, uninstalling and reinstalling software, everything I can think of. I even went to the help site, but no luck. Anyone have any ideas????
Thanks, Cheryl

Is it in a Docking station? If so unplug the station & try that. I have an HP but have gotten that message before.

I agree with Beth.
I received this message when I installed a new printer and I plugged the printer cable into the port that I usually have my camera connected to.
When I got ready to use the camera, I plugged it into the other available port and couldn't for the life of me figure out why I kept getting the message. After several hours, I switched out the printer and camera cables and Voila! it worked.

So try that and I hope it works.
Good luck.

NO, no docking station. And I haven't added anything new to set-up, but I will try changing ports...It's worth a try. Thanks so much,
Cheryl

ok, this may sound a bit simple but I too have a Kodak. I had the same problem, thought it was the camera malfunctioning. Tried, tried and tried again. Before I started uninstalling and reinstalling software...I changed the batteries in my camera and that fixed it. Maybe it was a fluke, I don't know but it's worked fine ever since.

We just bought a Kodak in the last few weeks. It's a Kodak EasyShare, 5.0 megapixels and 3x zoom. It doesn't have a docking station. We had a Sony Cybershot DSC-P51, and it totally went on the blink. I forget now, what happened with it. It was so long ago now. But, when I called Sony to see if there was something I could do to play around with it to get it back to working, they told me it couldn't be done. I was told that, to repair it, it would cost around $175. Well, the price of the camera was about 50 bucks more, and I wasn't about to repair it.

Well, since then, there's been some kind of suit brought before Sony, class action I guess. They are going to pay for the repair of the Sony. I suppose the problem we were having with it was very common with lots and lots of people. (I wish I had known about the suit before we bought the second camera. lol) Right now, at this point, I don't know how to work the Kodak. (So, this post was rather pointless, I suppose.) I guess it would be better to learn the Kodak, since it's new, it, probably (LOL) works, because it may be some time until we see the $$ to repair the Sony.

Hey, anyone else out there have the Sony model I have? I hope you got notification about the suit brought against Sony for repairs to the camera. If not, let me know.

Have a great day & night,
Sherrill

Hi! For those of you who had a chance to read my previous post....I only had the Sony Cybershot DSC-P51 for around 2 years when the camera started not working properly. What started happening was: I started getting a blank screen when I was trying to take photos. This would happen occasionally at first. Then, suddenly, I couldn't see anything to take a photo no matter how I tried to troubleshoot the problem. Then I called Sony. I tried to troubleshoot it thru their direction. Nothing worked. I was told that it would cost the $175 to repair the problem, and I wasn't about to pay that when I only paid about $225 for the camera.

I haven't filed, yet, with the class action suit about the Sony. I have to read thru the paperwork that was sent to me.

If anyone has that problem with the same camera, and they haven't been notified about the class action suit, let me know.

Warm regards,
Sherrill
